WHY TDS / EC MATTER
TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) gives a rough idea of:
How “loaded” your water is with dissolved minerals, salts, metals and contaminants
How well your filter or RO system is working
Changes in your water source over time
EC (electrical conductivity) is another indicator of dissolved ions and overall water quality.
This meter does not identify specific toxins, but it tells you:
Is this water “cleaner” or “dirtier” than it should be?
Did my filter actually do anything?
Has something gone wrong since last time?
For a preparedness mindset, that’s critical.
 
HOW TO USE
Remove the cap and turn the tester on with the single button.
Immerse the probe into the water sample (do not submerge the entire device).
Wait a few seconds for the reading to stabilize.
Read TDS / EC / temperature from the backlit screen.
Rinse the probe with clean water and dry after use.
Check regularly:
Tap water vs filtered water
Before and after filter cartridge changes
Bottled water sources
Well water and storage tanks
