Growing from seed:
Sow directly outdoors as soon as the soil is workable. Water the soil before sowing and keep it moist during germination. Sow in succession for a continuous supply throughout the summer. Thin out seedlings to 25 cm (10 in) apart, then harvest young leaves or entire plants as needed.
